A Day of Service Calls: Keeping Birmingham Comfortable
Morning Preparations – 6:30 AM
The day begins early at Stegall Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical, as I arrive at our headquarters to review the day’s service schedule and load up my truck. Coffee in hand, I check my inventory of essential parts and tools, knowing that Birmingham’s weather can be unpredictable, especially during seasonal transitions.
First Call – 8:00 AM
My first stop takes me to Mountain Brook, where a homeowner reported their furnace making unusual noises. After a thorough inspection, I identify a worn-out blower motor – a common issue during the heating season. The customer appreciates the detailed explanation of the problem and solution.
Mid-Morning – 10:30 AM
Heading to Vestavia Hills for an electrical repair job. A family needs their outdated electrical panel upgraded to meet modern safety standards. These upgrades are crucial for protecting homes and families.
Lunch Break – 12:15 PM
A quick stop in Homewood for lunch, while reviewing upcoming appointments and responding to any emergency calls that have come in.
Afternoon Calls
The afternoon includes:
- A furnace replacement consultation in Hoover
- Emergency heating repair in Helena
- Routine maintenance check in Birmingham’s downtown area
End of Day – 5:00 PM
Before heading home, I complete my service reports and prepare for tomorrow. Being part of a team that helps keep our communities comfortable and safe makes every busy day worthwhile.
Remember: Regular maintenance prevents most major HVAC and electrical issues. Schedule your check-up today to avoid unexpected problems during extreme weather conditions.
